Juanita Collins Polkey, 78, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Religious services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Emile J. Polkey; sons, Gary Polkey and wife, Joyce, and Troy Polkey and wife, Lyndzee; daughter, Denise P. Plaisance and husband, Randy; brother, Huey Collins; sisters, Virgis C. Cheramie, Melva Collins and Dorita C. Comardelle; and 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine C. Collins and Nat J. Collins Sr.; and brother, Nat Collins Jr.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
