Joyce "Papa Cong" Robichaux

Joyce J. “Papa Cong” Robichaux, 92, a native and resident of Raceland passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home on Saturday September 9th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with burial to following St, Mary Cemetery.

Joyce is survived by his sons, Norman “Baba” Robichaux, Patrick “Dago” (Acy) Robichaux, and Ronald “Roach” (Edna) Robichaux; daughters, Debra Blanchard, and May (Wayne) Ponson; sister, Maryann LeBouef; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Theresa Robichaux; parents, George and Juanita Robichaux; brother, Julien Robichaux; sisters, Laura Robichaux, Peggy Hebert, and Alice LeBlanc; grandson, Ronald “Joe” Robichaux, Jr.; granddaughter, Wendy Johnson.
