He resided in Cut Off, LA throughout his lifetime, except for the years when he was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas. Jimmy began his career teaching at LCO then he transitioned into the oil field. He retired after 30 years with Chevron. After retirement could be found riding around on his tractor or four-wheeler, playing cards with his friends at the Tin Shed, or spending time with his family. Paw, as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren, was always ready to teach them anything from his favorite card games to football. He loved spending weekends at the New Orleans Fairgrounds with his wife. He was a strong man of deep faith that he instilled in his family.
His loss will be deeply felt by the many friends and family that loved him.
A private service will be held, at a later date, per his wishes.
Falgout Funeral Home is honored to serve the David family.
