Jason M. Folse

Jason Michael Folse, 47, a native of Raceland and resident of Saint Rose, LA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He will be best remembered for his love of sports and fantasy football, Star Wars, 80’s music, video games, cooking and grilling, and playing pedro. Most weekends, Jason could be found rooting for his Tigers on Saturday and relaxing on the couch, enjoying Red Zone and grilling or cooking a delicious meal, like his beloved jambalaya or dirty rice, on Sunday. But, he was happiest just spending time with friends and family. Everyone who knew Jason will miss his uncanny knowledge of sports statistics, his knack for figuring out how to fix things, and his passion for getting everyone hyped up and cheering for LSU.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, 3838 Hwy 1 Raceland, LA, on Sunday, January 25 from 10am until noon with a prayer service to follow. Jason lived and breathed LSU, so in his honor, LSU attire is requested to be worn.

Jason is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Amy Romagosa; father, Bryan Folse (Ms. Willie); mother, Susan Folse (Emile); brothers, Eric Folse (Jessica) and Todd Folse (Baria); father and mother-in-law, Norman and Debbie Romagosa; sister-in-law, Becky Travis (Jess); nieces and nephews, Brianna, Jacob, Caleb, Baron, and Izzy; Godfather David Orgeron (Cathy); grandmother-in-law, Sylvia Dendinger; aunts and uncle, Mary Brodtman, Lisa and James Orgeron; best “podnas”, Jade Martinez (Andrea), Rocky Landry (Rochelle), Gil Bonvillian (Christine), Toby Ledet (Melanie), and many other friends, cousins, and in-laws.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Nita Orgeron and paternal grandparents, Uzee and Odette Folse.
