Janet Matherne Dufrene, 83, a native and resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. Services will be at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche, LA.
She is survived by her son, Pernell Dufrene, Sr. (Loritta); 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent John Dufrene, Sr.; son, Vincent Dufrene, Jr.; parents, Nerman and Lillie Mae Matherne and sisters, Linda Dufrene and Bonnie Dufrene.
Janet enjoyed crocheting, sewing and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
