Jamie “Pokan” M. Matherne, 56, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021.
A visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am with procession following to his 12 noon Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Jamie is survived by his wife of 31 years; Johanna Pitre Matherne, sons; Jonathan Matherne (Jordi), and Joshua Matherne, grandchildren; Landon, Julianne, and Jameson, parents; James Matherne and Judy Matherne, and sister; Jill Bourgeois.
Mr. Matherne was preceded in death by his brother; Joey Matherne.
Pokan loved fishing, hunting, going to the camp, and was a true marsh rat.
Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano entrusted with arrangements.
