James D. Shafer, 55, a native of Amarillo, TX and a resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. Burial will be at Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Rena Shafer; sons, Zachoree Shafer and Bailey Shafer; godson, Dylan James Millis; step sons, Richard Nahki (Mindy), Christopher Rolison (Christy) and Strison Garcia; grandchildren Asher and Simon and sister, Julie Shipman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Julia Shafer.
James was a U.S. Marine Corps and Navy veteran.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
