Golden Meadow

James Edward Lincks a resident of Golden Meadow born October 16 1940 passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s with his wife at his side on August 5,2026.

He was known to everyone simply as Jim. Jim was a loving soul that never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile.

He worked as an electrician/refrigeration expert and made many friends along the path of his occupation. Jim excelled at his craft which earned him the nickname “The Legend” because of his knowledge, expertise and pride in his work. He always had a story to share and loved making people smile along with his contagious smile and laugh.

Jim will be missed by many that will always remember him in their own way for various reasons and relationships.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Fredrick Lincks and Velta Mabel Lincks, his sister Janet Wright and stepdaughter Jan Boudreaux.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel M. Lincks who he loved dearly, his three children Jamie, Jim, and John, three stepsons and numerous grandkids and great grandkids.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian Burial will being at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
