James B. Hogue Jr.

James Byrd Hogue, Jr, passed away in his home, in Galliano, surrounded by family on May 14, 2025, at the age of eighty-one. Born on January 30, 1944, in Beaumont, Texas, but was a longtime resident of Galliano.

James is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 61 years, Beverly Brossette Hogue; his son, James B. Hogue III; his daughter, Elizabeth Autin (Shull); his brother, Frank H. Hogue (Linda); his grandchildren, Bryant Autin, J.D, Dr. Hannah Autin D.O. (Rene), and Brianna Hogue; sisters-in-Law Debra Lathrop (Don) and Norma Brossette; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Brossette, Ashley Lathrop, Ross Hogue, and Ryan Hogue (Courtney) Tylor Lathrop; and his great niece and great nephew, Lillian and Gunner Hogue.

He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Hogue Sr, his mother, June Hannah Hogue and Brother-in-Law, Wayne Brossette. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at South Lafourche Church of the Resurrection a Global Methodist Church on Saturday, May 24, 2025, starting at 9:00 am. A memorial service will be held in his honor starting at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter in his memory.
