James "Jimmy" Fonseca, Sr., 80, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 9:15 AM in Raceland, LA.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2013 and from 8:00 AM until funeral time Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Falgout Funeral Homes, Raceland, LA. Religious services at 11:00 AM, Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Homes, Raceland, LA with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons; James Fonseca, Jr. and wife Mary Jo, Robert Fonseca and wife Susan; daughters, Peggy Adams and husband Richard, Marlene Guidry and husband Philip; step sons, Blain and Bart Bourg; sister, Florence Arcement; 7 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Breaux Fonseca; second wife, Magdalen Cortez Fonseca; parents, Gillis and Esprence Fonseca and brothers, Emanuel and Roland Fonseca.
