James Dufrene

James Dufrene, age 83, a native of Larose and resident of Cottonport, LA, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22nd from 9:30 am until service time at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon with burial to follow in the church cemetery. James is survived by his children, Marty Dufrene (Lynne), Todd J. Dufrene (Donna), Donna DeSoto (Cheyene); 6 grandchildren, Amy (Kurt), Kristen (Kyle), Cody (Jessica), Cory (Dawn), Randi, Lindsey (Dustin); 12 great grandchildren, Kasyn, Kelby, Charlie, Liam, Jaxon, Caroline, Madelyn, Addison, Douglas, Dawson, Olivia, John; siblings, Carl Dufrene Sr., Carolyn Cuneo, Danny Dufrene, Christine Lefort and sister-in-law, Beulah Domangue. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella M. Dufrene; parents, Dennis and Madeline Dufrene; infant sister, Emma Dufrene; in-laws, Edmond and Aline Matherne and brother-in-law, Lester Domangue Jr.
