Jai Anthony Rodrigue is now playing in heaven and forever in our hearts.
Jai was born September 27, 1999, in Thibodaux LA. As a small boy he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and catching turtles from ditches. As he grew older, he discovered his passion for music and love for playing the guitar. It wasn’t long before everyone realized he had natural talent and determination to get better. Over the years he played at school talent shows, played on many stages including cruise liners and Pat O’ Brien’s. He also taught many of his friends along the way creating unbreakable bonds to this day. Jai was a gentle simple soul who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a loving son, grandson, brother and friend whom will be forever missed.
He is survived by: mother; Krystal Plaisance, step-father; Jonathan Plaisance, father; Bryan Rodrigue, Jr. and wife; Hailey Rodrigue, sisters; Kelsey Plaisance and Lylah Rodrigue, grandmothers; Pansy Robichaux and Dawn Toups, grandfather; Bryan (Bongo) Rodrigue, step-grandfather; Wayne (Pauly) Breaux, Jr. “Pop”, and step-grandmother; Kimberly Rodrigue.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather; Gary Robichaux.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens, Louisiana from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am.
