Irwin J. Badeaux

Jan 22, 1941 — Oct 13, 2026

Larose, La

Irwin J. Badeaux Sr., born Jan. 22, 1941, left to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Oct. 13th, 2026. Irwin was a lifelong resident of Larose.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18th, from 10:30 am until service time. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm, with burial to follow in the church mausoleum.

Left to cherish his memory include his son, Irwin J. Badeaux Jr.; daughter, Angela B. Savoie (Scotty); grandchildren, Andrew Badeaux (Macy), Casey B. Morgan (Matt), and Rachael Badeaux (Cole); great-grandchildren, Sadie (Alex), Gage, Kadance, Ava, Emma, Wesley, and Elleni.

Mr. Irwin was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Irene; his parents, Sidney T. Badeaux and Francis O. Badeaux; brother, Sidney Jr.; and one infant brother.

Irwin loved the Lord, his family, and sports, especially golf, baseball and football. When he was well, he played golf, gardened, and enjoyed watching his purple martins come each year to the cages he built for them. He was a hard worker and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was always ready to help wherever there was a need.

He was a funny man and loved spending time with the children in his family. He was a great prayer warrior and a faithful member of FBC Larose.

We would like to thank the Hope Hospice team, especially his nurses Jodi and Alice, for their compassionate care in his final weeks.

We would also like to thank our Pastor, Gary Hanberry, wife Beverly, and our entire church family for all of their prayers, love and support throughout his illness. Thanks to the Balcony, Neeley Cheramie and staff, for providing free lunches for Dad over the years.

Special thanks to his brother-in-law, Michael, for making sure a blade of grass was never out of place. And thanks to all our family for the many ways you provided for him and for us over the past several years. You are all a tremendous blessing. A special thank you to his niece, Amy (lawyer). You know how much you meant to him and we know the love was mutual. Chris Adams, your kindness and devotion to Dad and our family has been wonderful. Thank you for the visits and for bringing him to countless appointments.

We will forever miss his presence but will cherish the many wonderful memories until we meet again.
