Irene LeCompte Lyons

Irene Marie LeCompte Lyons, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 1:54 a.m. She was a native and resident of Chauvin, LA.

 Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. with burial following in church cemetery.

 Irene is survived by her son, Timothy J. Lyons and wife, Merita; daughter, Paula L. Sons; and 8 grandchildren,14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

 Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Paul Joseph Lyons; parents, Cleveland Pierre LeCompte and Estelle Marie Ledet LeCompte; son Dale P. Lyons and wife, Judy; son-in-law, Merville “Butch” Sons, Jr.; brother, Evince LeCompte and wife, Rita; sisters, Eulice Neil and husband, Edward, Sr., and Helen Lirette and husband, Houston “Sou”.
