Inez Swenson, 99, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, Godmother, friend, and neighbor. She will be sorely missed by her son, Paul Cheramie, Jr. (Ilene); daughter, Paulette Cheramie (Roy) and numerous friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Josephine Polkey.
She lived a long full life. She was a native of Grand Isle and a resident of Galliano. She loved fishing, gardening, dancing, gambling and Popeye’s fried chicken.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at The Broadway and Notre Dame Hospice for their loving care and devotion to their residents. A private burial was held due to health concerns in the immediate family.
