Henrietta "Yet" Griffin

Henrietta “Yet” Griffin, 75, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Gheens, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

Henrietta is survived by her beloved husband, of 60 beautiful years, Whitney Griffin Jr.; son, Whitney Griffin lll (Torey Miller); daughter, Amanda Rivet (Dray); daughter in law, Sharon Griffin; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Matherne; sisters, Doris, Virginia, Pauline, and Pearl; sister-in-law, Clarice Matherne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Manilla Matherne; step parents, Ernest and Pearly Rivet; son, Ernest Griffin Sr.; grandchild, Marilyn Grace Griffin; and 4 siblings.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens, Louisiana on Friday, November 6. 2026 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
