Helen Joyce Garrett

Helen Joyce Garrett of Raceland, Louisiana passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026.

She was born in Posey County, Indiana, and later made her home in south Louisiana. She was happily married for more than 59 years to the late Herbert Russell Garrett.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Garrett Zeringue (Malcolm) and their children, Ashely and Andrew; daughter, Melea Joyce Garrett (Christopher Sunderland); daughter, Terri Garrett Gautreaux (Craig) and their children, Alyssa Segura Rhodes (Corey) and Alex Gautreaux (Kylie); and her great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Adeline, and Elliana Rhodes.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her granddaughter, Ashley.

Heled will be remembered for her vibrant personality, devotion to her family, and the love she shared throughout her life.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to her loving and dedicated caregivers, Louise, Earline, and Mary; as well as the staff at Hope Hospice.
