Harris J. Adams, 87, a native of Kraemer and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Visitation will be held at the Raceland Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 15 from 9 am until service time. Funeral services will be held at 11 am with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Harris is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Theresa Hebert Adams; brothers, Vincent Adams, Russell Adams (Mary); sister, Corrine A. Gervois and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris C. and Florine B. Adams; sisters, Eva A. Frickey, Ethel Comardelle, Enola A. Guidry; brothers, Douglas, Loveless, Edward and Nickless Adams.
Harris was a US Army Veteran and proud American and a longtime member of the Raceland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid gardener. He enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends and family. He was most proud of his turtle pond where he raised alligator snapping turtles. He was a loving and devoted husband. A kind and caring brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by many.
