Gustave "Gus" A. Cheramie, 87, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off passed away on Saturday March 8, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rena T. Cheramie; daughter, Kathy Roundtree and husband David; son, Carl Cheramie and wife Janet; daughter, Betsy Cheramie; son, Tommy Cheramie and wife Selena; step daughter, Janice Rousse; step son, Mike Cheramie; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 20 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virley Pierce Cheramie; son, Dean Cheramie; daughter, Lynn Cheramie; father, Joseph Cheramie; mother, Angelina Bychurch Cheramie; siblings, Angela Leonard, Elvire Rodrigue, Ella Arceneaux and Cliff Cheramie.
Falgout Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
