Girlis Galiano McCartney, 98, a native and resident of Galliano passed away March 5, 2017. Services and burial will be held at a later date.
Ms. Girlis is survived by her son, Kenneth McCartney; daughter, Gloria S. Danos; grandchildren, Jackie and Jason McCartney, Angie and Scott Danos (Annette); great grandchildren Jonathan, Jaclyn, Jordan, and Jeremy McCartney and Janet Danos Callais; great great grandchildren Emily, Aidan, Jolie, and Justin McCartney, Jenna and Jackson Bourgeois and Nola Guidry; sisters Sadie Dantin (Loveless), and Rose Allemand (Nolan).
Ms. McCartney was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Saunier; second husband Jack McCartney; father, Raphael J. Galiano; mother Euphroisie Ledet Galiano; brothers Royce, Amy (Bernice), Lipton, Floyd Galiano (Diane), and sisters Gladys Simoneaux (Harry) and Ena Falgout (Harold).
