Gilda Duplantis Guillory

Gilda (Rhodes) Guillory, passed from this life on November 2, 2021 at the age of 93.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Falgout Funeral Home, Houma, LA. Religious services will be at 12:00 pm with burial to follow in St. Francis #2 Cemetery, Houma, LA.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Sonja Babin (Ronald) and Cheri Story (Eric); daughter-in-law, Linda Rhodes; 5 grandchildren, Corey Rhodes. Charmain King, Leslie Barnes, Kristy Woolsey and Tessa Stelly; 14 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mae Ledet and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adley and Gertrude Duplantis; step mom, Viola Duplantis; her husband, Floyd Rhodes, Sr.; son, Floyd Rhodes, Jr. She also lost 4 children before birth; 3 brothers, Ephie, Ernest and Randolf Duplantis; 2 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Gilda enjoyed bingo and going to the casinos. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
