Gertrude F. Chiasson, 79, a native of Raceland, LA and a resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 and from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Erjie Chiasson; sons, Sidney Forrestier and wife Peggy, Stuart Forrestier and wife Karen; daughters, Stephanie Forrestier Dandry and husband Randy, Sheila F. Ballou Adams and husband Camille; brothers Allen Foret, Donald Foret, Leonard Foret, Clarence Foret; sisters Vicky Chiasson, May Catherine Young; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John A. Forrestier; parents, Davis and May Pertuit Foret; step mother, Anna Chedotal Foret; son-in-law, Bill Ballou; brothers, Norris Foret, Samuel Foret and sisters, Alice Mae Pierce, Enid Dimarco and Lydia Folse.
Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
