Genevieve Galiano Himel, 85, a native and resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Hebert (Dennis); sons, David Himel (Theresa), James Himel (Diane); grandchildren, Denise Martin, Anne Layburn, Stephanie Lambert, Jason Himel, Kristy Boiteaux, Erin Himel; great grandchildren, Kade, Mia, Juliet, Eva, Knight, Adrienne, Blake, Abigail, Madison, Lakelynn and brother, Richard Galiano (Bernice).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian C. Himel; parents, Alcide and Jeanne Galiano; brother, Robert Galiano (Genevieve) and sister, Janita G. Picou (Mack).
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
