Gary Don Williams

Gary “Turkey, Pop Pop” Williams, 70, a native of Port Sulphur and resident of the Open Road passed away on September 17th, 2026.

Mr. Gary is survived by his children: Jonathon W. Plake II (Rebecca), Kendra Sassoni (Travis), Brandon Plake (Aimee); grandchildren: Robin-Lynn, Victoria, Logan, Tanna, Natalie, Lainey, Braeden, Tristan, C.T., Alexis, Savannah; great grandchildren: Aurora, Thomas, Aliyah Mae, Emmie-Grace, Faith; mother: Mary Nell Williams; siblings: Elizabeth Fryou Baytop, Sandra Fryou, Luke Fryou Jr., and .Monica Fryou Morgan.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Allen Rink, Sr. and uncle: Jack Lee George.

Mr. Gary was a devoted stepfather and truck driver; well known for his big booming hearty laugh. His love of the open road was only surpassed by the love he showed his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is now watching over them from Heaven’s Highway.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, service times are currently pending.
