Flame Marie Billiot, 71, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Flame is survived by her husband, John Billiot; daughters, Tatum Mahurin and Jayme Billiot (Joey); grandchildren, Jonah Mahurin, Malia Mahurin, Liam Ganaway, Lucy Vicknair, Lara Vicknair; sisters, Christine Chatagnier (Edward), Mala Thompson (Kenneth), Lisa DeLancey (Danny); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Gloria Bourg.
Flame was a devoted wife, a caring mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished sister. Her family was the center of her world. She enjoyed life and cheered loudly for the things she loved – especially her beloved New Orleans Saints. Win or lose, she stood proudly behind her team. She also stood by her faith. Her belief in God guided the way she loved others, and she held tightly to God’s word for comfort and strength.
As written in the Bible, “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:21-22 (ESV)
