Eulice P. Gautreaux

Eulice P. Gautreaux, 83, native of Lockport and resident of Mathews, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Mr. Eulice is survived by his daughters, Michele (Kathy L. Pechon) and Misty (Daniel Paul Silva) Gautreaux; his grandson, Jonah Luke LeBoeuf; his brothers, Allen Gautreaux and Gordon Geautreaux; his sisters, Joyce Campo, Karen Hilse, and Marilyn Kramer; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Falgout and Pam McGee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Patsy Falgout Gautreaux; his son, Michael Gautreaux; his parents, Murphy and Gertie Gautreaux; and his brother, Murphy ‘Butch’ Gautreaux.

Eulice was a proud veteran of the US Navy. Although he only served one tour of duty, he proudly attributed all of his life’s success to his time spent in the Navy being molded and prepared to be a worldly, educated, strong, and successful man. He was a loyal employee of Texaco, later Equilon Pipeline for 25+ years. Through this opportunity and his dedicated hard work, he was afforded the ability to provide a beautiful home and center for memories to be created for all of his family and friends. His most loved and proudest provision was his camp in Grand Isle, where he enjoyed restful weekends in escape from day-to-day life. All gathered around to enjoy the fruits of his labor, while he enjoyed the good times and laughter, an ice-cold Miller Light and speckled trout fishing. Eulice was a good man and loving son. A proud husband, father, and grandfather. The shelter of his love and presence will be greatly missed by all who he was dear to. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews, from 9:00AM until the service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM, a graveside service will follow at the Church’s cemetery.
