Esther Louviere Matherne, 99, a native of Vacherie Gheens, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015.
Visitation will be from 8:30 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Lockport, LA.
She is survived by her son, Wiley G. Matherne and his wife Patricia; daughter, Sharon M. Robichaux and her husband Francis; daughter-in-law, Irma Matherne; sister, Marjorie L. Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wiley A. Matherne; sons, Allen J. Matherne and his wife Diana, Robert "Bob" A. Matherne; parents, Louis and Lillie S. Louviere; brother, Landris Louviere; 1 great grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild.
