Ernest "Ernie" M. Colby, 81, a native of Waterbury, CT and a resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Dorothy Colby; sons; Scott Colby (Diane), Clay Colby; daughter, Kim C. Thomas; grandchildren, Bartley, Brandon, Eliza, Christopher, Sr.; great grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Carter; sisters, Nancy Cercola (Dave), Dale Macgoldrick (Fred) and sister-in-law, Carilyn Colby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Katherine Colby and brother, John Colby.
Ernie was a member of American Legion Post 83, U.S. Air Force Veteran and V.H. Boudreaux Senior Center.
Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
