Emmett "Mitch" Eymard, born December 6, 1954, in New Orleans, LA and resident of Larose, LA, Louisiana passed away on Saturday June 20, 2026.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, in Larose, from 11:00 am until service time. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm with burial following in the church cemetery.
Mitch is survived by his wife of 5 years, Eva Eymard; son, Chad Eymard; daughter, Carly Eymard; sisters, Cathy E. Bell (Lonnie), Helene Eymard and Angelica E. Defelice (Cory); brothers, Nico Eymard (JudithKaren), Eddie Evers (Beverly); Godchildren, GiGi, Lori Williams and Julia E. Belding; his bonus daughters and their family; Micki Cousins (Damien), Tonya Plaisance (Mark); grandchildren, Austin (Madi), Ashlyn, Bryce, Madison, Hayden and Caleb; great-grandchild, Leah Klair and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Antoine and Helen St. Pierre Eymard and first wife, Donna Evers Eymard.
Mitch was a proud and loving husband, father and family man. He was President of United Tugs, Inc. He always treated everyone like family and no matter what issue arose he would always find a solution. His greatest passion was spent enjoying and working on his family boat “The Wyoming”.
In lieu of flowers, consider donations to The American Cancer Society for research to help find a cure for others.
