Elsie Rita Green

Elsie Rita Green, 81, a native of Larose, and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Raceland, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2 pm until 4 pm.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wildred Green; son, Craig Green (Jennifer); grandchildren, Skye, Norah, and Ocean Green (Heather); brother, Kirby Bergeron (Anna); 2 great-grandchildren, Hazen Green and Dusty Green; Godchildren, Angie Orgeron and Angie Green Tharpe.

She is preceded in death by her father, Justilien Bergeron Sr.; mother, Leota Rivet Bergeron; brothers, Justilien “Joe” Bergeron Jr. and Roy Bergeron Sr.; infant twin sister, Elta Bergeron.

Elsie was a loving woman, devoted mother, cherished sister, and proud grandmother. Known for her strong work ethic and generous heart, she spent her life caring for others and putting family first. She will be remembered as the “Cypress knees lady”.

The family would like to thank her caretakers: Godchild, Angie, great niece, Heather Gravois; Raceland Family Doctor Clinc, Dr. Duplantis and staff, Thibodaux Home Health and Hope Hospice.
