Eloise Aucoin Rome

Eloise Marie Aucoin Rome, 99, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 12:19 a.m. She was a native of Lobdell and a resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral on Saturday, January 13, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. with burial following in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.

Eloise is survived by her sons, Reginald P. Rome and wife, Donna, Aleck J. Rome and wife, Anna, and Mitchell J. Rome; daughters, Rose V. Hayes and husband, Wayne, and Marina M. Jennings and companion, Jeff D. Fuller, III; brother, Hartwell Aucoin and wife, Myrtle; sister, Shirley Richard; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Louis Aucoin, Sr. and Bertha Guillot Aucoin; brothers, Edward Aucoin, Jr. and James Aucoin; sisters, Mable Becnel, Mildred Basset, Margaret Labat, Mary Aucoin, AnnaLee Aucoin, and Elsie Rome.

Eloise was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral for many years.
