Edna Dufrene Matherne, 90, a native of Bois Choctaw, on the banks of Bayou Des Allemands, and a resident of Des Allemands, LA, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Matherne and wife Elsa, Michael Matherne; daughters, Annabel Hogan and husband Donald, Mary Dufrene and husband Dale; brothers, Hemes and Wilbur Dufrene, sister, Levia Meyer; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Matherne; parents, Victor Dufrene and Leonise Comardelle Dufrene Matherne and step father, Samson Matherne.
Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
