Edith McMahan Burdine, 98, a native of Texas and resident of Larose passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Larose on Thursday, May 3rd from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with burial at a later date.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda McMahan Rodrigue (Lester Paul) and Evelyn McMahan Mudd (Douglas L.); daughter-in-law, Beverly McMahan Smith; step-son, James McMahan; grandchildren, Debbie Richoux (Dudley), Donna Paal (Thomas), Les Paul Rodrigue (Rachel), Charnell Peoples (Patrick), Larry, Ray and Jennie; great-grandchildren, Andre, Armand, Logan, Marcy, Courtney, Bethany, Cody, Kaitlyn, Kinley, Cody and Brinn; great-great-grandchild, Sophia Brunet.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, 1st Gus Houston McMahan and 2nd Dale Burdine; parents, Monroe and Hettie Belle McMullen; son Staff Sargent Charles D. McMahan; brothers, Noah McMullen, Odell McMullen and Elvin McMullen; sisters, Ovon Brinkman, Adele Dannelley Lee and Elva McMullen.
