Earl J. Lorio, age 90, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Thursday, June 09, 2016.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church from 8 AM until 10 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church starting at 10 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Earl is survived by his son, Stephen Lorio; brothers-in-law, CJ Knobloch and wife Carole and Cameron Knobloch and wife Janice.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Knobloch Lorio; parents, Albert and Victoria Lorio; and sisters, Rita L. Matherne and Sister Helen Lorio.
Earl served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a high school teacher for 37 years; mostly at Central Lafourche High School and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic charities.
Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
