Douglas Anthony Lafont, Sr., 76, a native of Galliano, LA and a resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Larose, LA. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery
He is survived by his wife, Karen Allemand Lafont; sons, Douglas Lafont, Jr. (Donie), Eric Lafont (Shannon) and Jade Lafont; grandchildren, Ashley Lafont, Bryce Lafont (Camryn), Alyssa Harris (Logan) and Alexandra Istre (Colby)+; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alaya, Thompson, London, Lincoln and Peyton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Widless and Marie Lafont and sister, Daisy Galliano.
Douglas enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
