Douglas “Doug” Danos, 69, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.
Doug is survived by his jr. high sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Mona P. Danos; daughters, Rachel D. Pitre and Ashley D. Lasseigne (Rance); grandchildren, Taylor Callais, Jake Pitre, Bria Pitre, Eli Pitre, Charley Lasseigne, Caroline Lasseigne, and Cooper Lasseigne; sister Kathy Mayberry (Bryan); brothers, Michael Danos (Robbin), Robbie Danos (Tina), and Mike Williams (Marlene).
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Peggy Danos and his sister, Denise Danos.
Doug was a dedicated father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandkids more than anything. Doug took great pleasure in seeing others succeed, had a passion for giving, was blessed with the gift of wisdom, and had a sense of humor that kept his family and friends smiling. He had an oil and gas career than spanned 50 years with long tenures domestic and abroad in Venezuela and Africa. He was most recently the General Manager at Pioneer Production Services.
Visitation will be from 9:00AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with burial in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Joey Fullilove Memorial Scholarship which supports local high school students. Donations can be mailed to the following address: 13554 Hwy 3235, Larose, LA 70373.
