Dorothy Pitre Deroche

Dorothy Pitre Deroche, age 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was a native of Coteau (Houma) and resident of Houma, LA.

A private service will be held.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Ivy (Katherine), Susan (Wayne), Diane and Patricia; stepchildren, Art (Dana), Brian Keith (Monica) and Monique; sisters, Rosemary Pitre, Barbara Arceneaux, Joyce Carson and Lisa Foret; brothers, Ricky Pitre and Steve Pitre; her precious Maggie Mae; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Eustice Paul Pitre, Sr. and Rose Marie Kreamer Pitre; her companion of 39 years, Arthur Howard, Sr.; brothers, E.J., Kenneth, Allen and Glynn Pitre; sister, Eurma Landry; son-in-law, Steven Deroche; grandson, David Carlos; and stepson, Butch Howard.

The family would like to thank Terrebonne General and ACG Hospice for their care.
