Donavon Paul Bruce

Donavon Paul Bruce, 61, native of Cut Off, Louisiana and resident of Houma, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 with burial to follow to Cheramie Cemetery.

Donavon is survived by his children, Haley Bruce, Brandon Bruce (Kisha), Brody Bruce, their surviving mother Tina Hankins; his mother, Joyce Bruce; sisters, Rosalind (Buddy), Nicole Adams (Sonya); grandchildren, Addison and Kaidence; multiple nieces and nephews; and his companion, Kathryn Gazdag.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Bruce; brother, Billy Bruce; grandparents, John and Elva Bruce & Clarence and Belta Sampey.

Donavon was a devoted father and grandfather, a skilled captain, and a man who found joy in hunting and fishing, and caring for his bees. Guided by a deep love for the Lord, he lived with faith, humility, and quiet strength. Loved by many and respected by all who knew him, he leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed.
