Denny J. Cheramie

Denny J. Cheramie, 67, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, LA. passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 with his loving family near his side.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, LA. from 9:00am until 12:30pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 12:30pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.

Denny is survived by his wife of 38 years; Wanda Cheramie, daughters; Star (Israel) Naquin, Rani (Boogie) Dardar and Liza Terrebonne (Dillon), grandchildren; Britton (Abbi), Cameron (Gracie), Arnold (Guadalupe), Landin (Ayla), Rhett and McKenzie and great grandchild; Rowyn, siblings; Linton (Robin) Cheramie & Brad (Andrea) Cheramie, nephews; Jace (Amy) Cheramie, Travis Cheramie & Brad Cheramie Jr.

Denny was preceded in death by his father Edward “Nu” Cheramie and mother Eloise “Lois” Doucet Cheramie.

He treasured the simple things in life most - spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, gathering around the table for a home-cooked meal, and sharing laughs over a game of dominoes. His love for family was steady and strong, and the memories he created with those he loved will be cherished forever. One of his favorite sayings was, "See you on the other side", a phrase that now brings comfort to all who knew and loved him.
