Danny Griffin, Sr.

Danny Joseph Griffin, Sr., 72, a resident of Larose, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Leblanc Griffin; his son, Danny Griffin, Jr. and wife Scarlet; his grandchildren, Aleeza Griffin and Leland Griffin; his stepfather, Freddie Guidry; his godchild, Shelly Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey J. Griffin; his mother, Gertie O. Guidry; his stepfather, Morris Hebert; and his sister, Elizabeth Vizier.

Danny was a retired boat captain and a member of Bayou Fellowship Lodge #484, where he served as a Master Mason. He was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Lafourche Shrine Club.

Danny will be remembered by those who knew him, and his memory will live on in the lives of those he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose with burial following in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off; date and times are pending.
