Cooper G. Sampite

Cooper G. Sampite, 86, a native of Bogalusa, LA and resident of Raceland, LA passed away on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 21st at 11 am in Rogers Cemetery in Bayou Blue, LA.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his son: Chris Sampite; and sister: Nelwyn Bailey.

Mr. Sampite was preceded in death by his wife: Marjorie M. Sampite; daughter: Amanda Sampite; father: Grundy Sampite; mother: Fay Ellen Garner; and stepfather: Brown Garner.

He graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1956. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Louisiana State Police in 1980.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program will be appreciated.
