Clinell Richoux Williams

Lockport

Clinell Richoux Williams, born January 4, 1976, a native of Raceland and a resident of Lockport, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, due to complications of cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she left this life to live her eternal life in heaven.

Clinell earned her Master of Social Work from Tulane University and went on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Clinell was a force to be reckoned with. Her brutal honesty didn’t always set well with others, but those who understood her compassion and kindness came to appreciate her for what she had to offer. She never meant harm and only wanted other to live the best life they were capable of living. Clinell walked her talk. She never offered guidance to others that she did not implement in her own life. Until the end she continued to live her life on her terms despite the circumstances thrown at her. Clinell was the epitome of strength and a survivor.

Clinell found true love later in life. She loved her some Wallace Williams, or as she lovingly called him, Bear. While she had an essence of strength before she met him, her strength grew as their love and commitment to one another blossomed. She often said, she didn’t know how she would have survived her journey without him. God doesn’t make mistakes. Uniting these two was definitely divine. Her other great love was her kid: Rebekah, a baby who unexpectedly came into her life, but Clinell would not have it any other way. Raising Rebekah wasn’t always easy but at the end of the day they loved and cherished one another.

Clinell is survived by her husband, Wallace “Fuji” Williams III, and her kid, Rebekah Guidroz; her bonus kids: Bridgette Williams, Tre Williams, Devin Williams, and Sierra Williams; her godson, Braylen; her siblings, Keith Gros Sr. (Cathy), Thomas Bourgeois, Lucy Orgeron (James), Amy Chiasson (Kirth), Cline Richoux Jr.; her spoiled rotten dogs; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins she loved and cherished with all of her heart.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Earline and Cline Richoux, Sr.; her “Granny,” Era Jean Falgout Bourgeois; in laws, Wallace Williams Jr., and Linda Williams; brother, Fernand Guidroz Jr.; her sweet baby nephew, Riley John Bourgeois – the first great love to her.

A Celebration of Life Service for Clinell will be announced at a later date.
