Clifton Paul Schouest

Clifton Paul Schouest, 68, a native of Gheens, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Raceland First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Schouest; son, Jacob Schouest, daughters, Rebecca Rabalais and DeAnne Schouest (Jose); granddaughter on the way, Elize Elaine Grace; brothers, Malcolm Zeringue Jr. (Lisa), Joe Klingman (Annette) Craig Scott, Alvin Schouest Jr., Calvin Schouest, Ernest Crochet, Ralph Schouest and Teddy Gaudet (Connie); sisters, Carol, Loretta, Linda, Denise Renee, Theresa and many other foster siblings.

He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Malcolm Zeringue Sr. and DeEtte Zeringue; parents, Alvin Schouest Sr. and Theresa Schouest brothers, Jerry Schouest and Allen Schouest and sister, Barbara.

Clifton enjoyed fishing and softball in his younger days, and Leave It To Beaver. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
