Clifton J. Champagne

Clifton J. Champagne, 89, a native and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 with his loving family near his side.

Visitation will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Clifton is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Anna Hebert Champagne; children, Terry (Jeannette) Champagne, Mark (Phyllis) Champagne and Karen Champagne Frickey; grandchildren, Aimee, Derek, Megan, Cody (Jade), Callie, Katie (Logan), Heather (Joey), Britnie (Cody);great-grandchildren, Jayce, Peyton, Finn, Weston, Rylee, Audrey, Nathan, Lilian, Alaina, Bentley, Drake and Sawyer; brother, Julien Champagne; sister, Anne C. Breaux.

Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Paul P. and Olive Waguespack Champagne; brother, Joseph Champagne, sisters, Deanna C. Gros and Gracie Champagne.

Clifton enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clifton was always there when he was needed. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice, but especially Natalie and Ah’Kira for the care and compassion given to them during this difficult time in their lives.
