Christopher Charles Watkins “Chris”, 85, a native of Golden Meadow, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service at Bethel Christian Ministries in Galliano on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 11 AM. Christian burial will be at 3 PM at Cheramie cemetery in Galliano. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Dervon Monroe Watkins and Godlyn Marie Serigny, his brother Rev. Frank “Bobby”Watkins. Chris is survived by his children, Christophe Augustin Watkins and wife Lauri, Yvette Marie Shore and husband Michael. Grandchildren, Benjamin Watkins, Jessica O’Donnell and husband Robert, Stephen Shore and wife Kira, B. Shore, great grandchild Raymond O’Donnell, Uncle Gregory Serigny, godchild Angela Watkins LaPlante and husband Lance with daughters Chanteé and Angèle, first wife Joan Domangue, and best friend Brenda Bellanger. Chris was a veteran of the army and served from 1958 to 1961. He was in an employee of Halliburton then worked for Greyhound Bus Lines traveling to locations including all of the contiguous United States, Canada, and Mexico, boasting over 14,000,000 miles traveled. Chris was a loving and passionate man who enjoyed his family time, traveling, cars, music, and dancing. He will be deeply loved and missed by all.
