Chris Leon Dufrene

Chris Leon Dufrene, 74, a native and lifelong resident of Gheens, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kacy and Kendyl Dufrene; grandchildren, Sadie, Claire, Raélyn, Mya, and Vincent; great-grandchildren, Iris and Ivy; godchildren, Charles and Jenny Dufrene and Rickey Sampey; and beloved pet, Che-Che. The memories he created with those he loved will remain in their hearts and be treasured for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eula Dufrene; wife, Faye Dufrene; brothers, Raymond, Jaycee, and Franklin Dufrene; sister, Eula Mae Dufrene; beloved pet, Che. 

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Chris’s life on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Gheens Community Center beginning at 10:00 am. This gathering will be a time to honor his life, share cherished memories, and celebrate the love he gave to those around him.
