Chester Pierre Vegas, Sr.

Chester Pierre Vegas, Sr., 82, native and resident of Cut Off, passed away on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025.

Mr. Chester is survived by his wife, Diane Guillot; his children, James (Patricia) Bellanger, Jessica Vegas, and James (Kim) Wright, Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his godchildren, Barney, Troy, and Hewitt; his sister, Alvertra (Hewitt) Gautreaux; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Chester is preceded in death by his parents Pierre and Evelia Vegas; his sisters, Velvina Rappelet and Barbara Ginn; and his son-in-law, Tim Vegas.

A memorial Mass will be held on February 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery.
