Carol Ann Matherne

Carol Ann Matherne, a native of Mathews and resident of Raceland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Laddie A. Matherne; mother of Angie Ledet (John) and Stacy Collongues (Al); grandchildren, Zachary Breaux (Ajah), Hayden Landry and Logan Breaux; great-granddaughters, Noelle and Amelia Breaux; sister, Betty Thibodaux (Eugene) and brother, Gary Hebert.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Laddie A. Matherne; parents, Harris and Annie; brothers, Richard and Donald Hebert.

She enjoyed cooking and baking and passed on that love to her daughters. She took pleasure in sending meals and treats to her friends and family. She liked doing arts and crafts, playing cards and games, feeding and watching her birds, watching sports especially her New Orleans Saints but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved the holidays and decorating for all occasions.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 9:00 am until the memorial Mass at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
