Briana Rose Melancon

Briana Rose Melancon, 28, native and resident of Cut Off, LA, passed away Saturday August 29, 2026.

Briana is survived by her husband of 1 year and partner in life for over 10 years, Chas Melancon; son, Jalen Melancon; parents, Angelica “Gigi” Defelice (Cory) and Ken Defelice (Cassey); brother, Hobie John Defelice (Megan) and their children Emerie, Luke and Bennett; mother in law, Angela Bourgeois; father in law, Jason Melancon; sister in law, Savannah Guidry (Corey) their children Landen and Trislynn; brother in law, Bryce Bourgeois; god parents, Angelle Curole and Todd Defelice.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Emmette & Helen Eymard, and Claude & Bonnie Defelice; uncle, Mitch Eymard; aunt Donna Eymard.

Briana was a light in life. She loved being with her family cooking up delicious food to share or the fish she helped her husband Chas catch. Briana loved listening to her music. She always had a way of making sure her hair and makeup looked good for any occasion. She never turned away when someone needed a helping hand or word of advice. She will always be remembered for her big heart and love for her son.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 9:00 AM to service time at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose, LA.
