Bonnie "Maw" "Aunt" Matherne Dufrene

Bonnie “Maw” “Aunt” Ruth Matherne Dufrene, 77, passed away on Friday August 16th, 2024. 

Survived by her sons Nerman Dufrene, Jackson Dufrene, Jr., and Tommy Dufrene, Sr. (Tammy); grandchildren, Julie Dufrene Besson (Mark), Tommy Dufrene, Jr. (Jessica), Dwayne Blanchard (Katelin), Trey Blanchard; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Besson, Delilah Dufrene, Makayla Blanchard, Isabella Blanchard, Bently Blanchard, Samuel Blanchard; and sister, Janet Dufrene; brother in-law, Tarvin Dufrene, Sr.; godchild, Mel Terrebonne, Jr.; and many others. 

Mrs. Bonnie is proceeded in death by, her husband of 62 years, Jackson Dufrene, Sr.; her parents, Nerman “Pete” and Lillie Matherne; in-laws, Hubert and Verlis Chauvin Dufrene; her sister, Linda Dufrene 

Mrs. Bonnie enjoyed fishing with her husband, Jackson. She loved her flowerbeds, sewing, and cooking for her family. 

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, LA at Wednesday August 21,2024, 9 am until service time at 11 am. Burial will follow at Mennonite Cemetery in Des Allemands, LA.
